I’m looking for a plant nursery that sells bonsai trees. Does anyone know of a place that has a good selection?

I saw a lady selling them out of a truck on government on Saturday. May try that next weekend.
There is a Baton Rouge bonsai club. I’d check them out, I’m sure they have recommendations. I’ve got one that I bought at the farmers market in shreveport

It’s not there all the time but I’ve seen a guy selling them at the corner of Florida and Acadian very frequently.

If you’re interested in actually getting into the hobby, go to the bonsai club to get started. Real bonsai trees cannot be bought, but must be reduced from larger trees, which they’ll teach you to do. The ones they sell at the stores or at intersections are just juniper cuttings that have never been cared for like an actual bonsai and will likely never be actual bonsai. They’re really just houseplants with an eastern look.
